Years of not enough.

For years, the systems were never quite enough. Fragmented, expensive, always a little short of the work they were meant to carry — and more time spent fighting the tools than running the operation.

Inception

Nao studied software engineering but learned operations on the floor — a restaurant kitchen, a family grocery store, a childcare centre, and finally a systems role in fitness. Different industries, most of them membership businesses, and the same problem every time.

The operations stack was fragmented. Data lost its quality between integrations and broke on every sync. Operators paid an enormous amount for systems that, stitched together, still did less than they actually needed.

Dream

The dream was simple: the whole stack — CRM, billing, scheduling, marketing, analytics — built as one thing. Fast, precise, and affordable, all at once. Nothing on the market came close. Every option was either too expensive, or it simply didn’t exist.

Opportunity

Optimizing a broken stack was the job. Building the right one from the ground up was the answer. With the technology we have today, the old limits — cost, time, quality — no longer hold. All three are possible at once, for anyone who knows exactly what’s needed and how to build it.

Hayato

Inspired by a Japanese izakaya — Nao’s first job, taken at fifteen, in grade ten. A grill and bar where a compact seven-station kitchen served a front of house seven times its size, with a craft, precision, and swiftness nothing else came close to. The only kitchen run efficient to the very edge, and unforgettable for it.

That is what Hayato is named for. Hayato (隼人) is the falcon — the fastest creature alive and the most precise hunter in nature, built for swiftness, precision, and scale. It does one thing, completely, and never misses. One system that runs the whole operation and stays out of the way.

Craft

Editorial, monochrome, and deliberate. No colour to hide behind and no decoration for its own sake — every line and every space is there because it earns its place. The craft is the point: the experience is the product, and the feeling it should leave is completeness.
